For this project, I was tasked with researching a folk song and making a 5 minute documentary on it. I choose the song The Big Rock Candy Mountains, and in my documentary I talked about it's creator, it's meaning, it's cultural relevance, and showed three different interpretations of the song.
The 21st Century Skills I used were Self-Directional and Communication skills. Self-Directional because I managed the researching and the making of the documentary, and communication because I presented my knowledge of the song and it's history/legacy through my narration in the video. The best part of this project was researching and putting together the video. My least favorite aspect was how long it took to add the other examples of iterations of the song into the documentary. If I could do it again, i'd probably give a better narration, as I didn't like how my voice sounded in the final product.
